Product Description

Methyl formate is also used as a solvent for cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate, as an intermediate in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and as a fumigation fungicide. Production method 1. Direct esterification method obtained by esterifying formic acid with methanol. Mix anhydrous calcium chloride and formic acid and stir to cool. Slowly add the methanol.
