Can be miscible with general organic solvents, soluble in water. Has a pleasant ester fragrance. 1. By the reaction of ethylene glycol monoethyl ether with acetic anhydride, the acetic anhydride and concentrated sulfuric acid are mixed, heated to 130ºC, slowly add ethylene glycol monoethyl ether, the reaction temperature is maintained at 130-135ºC, and then add 1-2h, the reflux temperature is 140ºC. After cooling, it is neutralized with sodium carbonate to pH=7-8, and then dried with industrial anhydrous potassium carbonate. The desiccant is filtered out for crude fractionation and the distillate is collected at 150-160ºC. Re-fractionation, collecting the fraction of 155.5-156.5ºC is the finished product. It can also be obtained by the reflux reaction of ethylene glycol monoethyl ether with acetic acid catalyzed by concentrated sulfuric acid in benzene. Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether was catalyzed by cationic resin to react with acetic acid, and the resulting water was continuously removed, and then the finished product was distilled. The conversion rate of acetic acid was 94.5, and the selectivity of the product was 98.5. 2.2- ethoxyacetic acid and ethanol reaction method. 3. Transesterification of ethyl acetate and ethoxyethanol. 4. Acetic acid and ethoxyethanol reaction method. 5. Reaction method of ethylene oxide and ethyl acetate.
